JL Sitemap v2.2.1

The JoomLine team presents a new update to the sitemap generation extension — JL Sitemap 2.2.1. This is a technical release that makes installing and updating the component more reliable thanks to a reworked access key generation logic.

What's new in JL Sitemap 2.2.1?

  • Reliable access key generation. Access key creation has been moved from the component installer to the package installer. The key is now generated at the final installation stage, once all bundled extensions are in place — this eliminates failures related to load order and timing.
  • Safe updates. The logic is now idempotent: during an update, the existing access key is no longer overwritten, and a new one is generated only if it doesn't already exist.
  • Self-contained, modern implementation. Key generation no longer depends on the component's helper classes and has been migrated to the current Joomla database API.
