Update Froala Editor v2.0

In half a month after the release of the first version of the package Froala editor for Joomla we are happy to announce version 2.0. The release is compatible with Joomla 3.

This release is a response to a huge number of requests and comments on the editor who came after the release of the first version. First of all, this release focused on fixing bugs, the second part of the release is to expand the functionality of the editor for Joomla. From simple plug-in, it turned into a functional editor with flexible system management and configuration for different user groups.

What's new in Froala Editor for Joomla v2.0:

  • Added Manager component is made by analogy with JCE, if somewhat simplified functionality. However, settings should be enough even for the most demanding users.
  • Added profile system - because of the Manager component, we can now separate settings for different user groups.
  • Added the constructor of the editor panels - again thanks to the component we have implemented the constructor of the elements in the editor pane.
  • Added rights management system of the component - implemented management system Joomla user rights for the editor component.
  • Added ability to specify a separate folder for images and files for each user - added possibility to load each user in the folder that corresponds to its ID.
  • Added preset profiles to address some security issues have been developed and added 3 profile. For site Administrators included all the features for users of lower rank disabled settings that may cause problems with the security of your site.
  • Bugfix.
  • Fixed button of their styles.
  • Fixed custom button classes.
  • Fixed setting "disable browser context menu".
  • Changed syntax to add your own classes and styles.
  • Changed the system of work with images.
  • Improves compatibility with various Joomla components - some components were problems with the display editor because of some problems with the styles editor, now we have corrected and the editor should be displayed correctly in all components.
